Body
“When a new task with a demand that is different in intensity of load, rate, repetition or duration is undertaken, an entirely new pattern of neurophysiological adjustment must be acquired”.
The production and increase of strength both depend on neuromuscular processes (Verkhoshansky, 2009). We at Neofit Systems understand this concept and have made nervous system training our primary focus. We understand strength does not only come from muscle building(hypertrophy), but from an effective nervous system.
“Muscles have no power to guide themselves, but the manner in which they act, and consequently the effectiveness of our performance, depends absolutely on how the nervous system guides them”.
Conventional weight lifting might produce a strong and fit looking body, but it can also diminish nervousness system functions as well. Some extreme weight lifting and training concepts can also leave ligaments and tendons prone to injury, where nervous system training can strengthen ligaments and tendons. Nervous system training can also reduce the likelihood of sport related injuries and help reduce recovery time from injuries.
The importance of nerves in strength training is the conservation of nervous energy and the ability to generate explosive force at the time of greatest need as the foundation of physical power (Paschall, 1954). So by improving an athlete’s nervous system and the working relationship with the muscular-skeletal system, precision performance is obtained. This is achieve in part by incorporating all muscle fibers and work toward training the “640” muscles in our bodies and not just 8-10 large muscle groups.
